Do you have a plasma screen tv? Mcoolister Creeping Chrycooleum T, C, R

I don't know. User:Fly Guy 2

Greenpickle makes shots directly with a DVD recorder. That way, it's impossible to know what TV he's using.--Prezintenden

There is, as far as I know, no way to tell TV type when capturing through a direct method. If you think that because of the image's sharpness, it's most likely because of the way I capture it from the DVD. You might have noticed that the very most recent batch of images I uploaded (the plants) were a bit blurrier, and a couple even showed the slightest bit of remaining interlaced material, which is because I had to use an inferior capture method as the DVD had a 'cyclic redundancy error'...whatever that means...

If you're interested, what I do is copy the VOB, demux (separate video and audio) in DGIndex, create an AVS (AviSynth) file and write code for proper resizing and deinterlacing of the video using mvbob (a deinterlacing filter), open that in VirtualDub, and print-screen the images I want from there. While I just take pictures and upload them to my dad's laptop... Much simpler. Fly Guy 2 04:39, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

I don't take it your a kid, GreenPickle. Mcoolister Creeping Chrycooleum T, C, R

Well, define kid. I'm still in school. And Fly Guy...compare the quality of your images to mine. That's why it's easier. Of course, I could still get decent images by opening the VOB from the DVD in media player classic or VLC player, but that one only takes images at key frames, and the other has no frame advance function.
